Seven bidders vied for the supply, delivery and testing of 26 lots of rice combine harvesters (RCH) under the Rice Competitiveness Enhancement Fund-Mechanization Program. They have passed the opening of bid documents held in July 24 at the PHilMech main office.

These local agri-machinery manufacturers/suppliers were able to provide and meet the eligibility, technical and financial requirements of the contract of bid. This only shows the determination of the local bidders to provide Filipino farmers the quality and efficient agricultural machines.

The qualifiers during the bid opening were Ada Manufacturing Corporation, Equity Machineries, Inc., Agri Component Corporation, AIMS Agri Ventures, Inc., Northern Asia Sales Corporation, Lyndelle Agro Industrial Sales, and Fortunetract Agro-Sales, Incorporated.

Said manufacturers also joined the new normal pre-bidding activity, a prerequisite of the opening of bid, in July 2. The total approved budget contract (ABC) of the 26 lots is
Php 1,839,832,400.

Meanwhile, as PHilMech has already determined the lowest calculated bid, the bidders would still have to undergo a post-qualification process.
