30 farmers from Las nieves, Agusan del Norte, gained more knowledge after graduating from the Short Course on Pest and Nutrient Management in Rice conducted under Rice Competitiveness Enhancement Fund – Rice Extension Service Program (RCEF-RESP) Extension Program.

A variety of topics and hands-on activities about pest management and proper pest and nutrient management were undertaken by the participants from March 6 – 10, 2023.

According to Ronald T. Villasi, 36, farmer from Brgy. Malicato is very grateful that he was taught Agroecosystem Analysis (AESA) and Minus One Element Technique (MOET). In addition, the hands-on activities have a big impact because they have tried the right methods of these new technologies.
