The Philippine Center for Postharvest Development and Mechanization (PHilMech) continues its third phase of new normal online pre-bidding conference for the rice precision seeders (RPS) and walking type agricultural tractors (WTAT). It was held in July 16 at PHilMech, Science City of Munoz, Nueva Ecija.

The RPS pre-bid started at 10:00 am with three present bidders. On the other hand, the WTAT pre-bid started at 1:30 pm with nine bidders present both physically and virtually.

Ms. Rich Ann Morota, chairperson, BAC secretariat, discussed the details of the bidding requirements and regulations while Engr. Reynaldo P. Gregorio, technical member, discussed the technical specifications of the technologies to be bidded.

The RPS has 6 lots with an approved budget contract (ABC) of Php102,358,000, while the WTAT have 8 lots with an ABC of Php 330,402,000.

An open forum followed where the suppliers have at least two chances to ask questions or clarify issues regarding the supply, delivery and testing of the said technologies. The Bid and Awards Committee (BAC) was able to address the concerns and queries of the bidders.

Before the pre-bidding was closed, Engr. Raul R. Paz, BAC chairperson, instructed bidders to write to PHilMech BAC their other questions and clarifications.
