The Agricultural Training Institute – Central Luzon (ATI-CL) participated during the Rice Competitivenes Enhancement Fund (RCEF) Seed Distribution Kick-off Ceremony and Technical Briefing led by Philippine Rice Research Institute (PhilRice) on May 3, 2023, at Brgy. Jalung, Porac, Pampanga.The activity was attended by more than 100 farmer participants from the said municipality. These farmers received certified seeds from PhilRice under RCEF along with various knowledge products produced by ATI-RTC III.
Ms. Florentina S. Grospe, expert from PhilRice discussed Nutrient Management during the open forum. Queries from farmers during the said event were answered by representtaive from various government agencies present.
This convergence approach during the ceremonial distribution of certified seeds under RCEF strengthened the active collaboration of various agencies in extending the programs of RCEF to the communities.
Philippine Center for Postharvest Development and Mechanization (PHilMech), Provincial Agriculture Office of Pampanga, Municipal Agriculture Office of Porac, and officials from the Municipality of Porac were all present during the said activity.
Seed distribution will take place in Pampanga and Bulacan here in Region 3. (FB, RCEF Central Luzon)
