DA-PhilRice Isabela’s Rice Competitive Enhancement Fund (RCEF) unit met its key LGU partners in the provinces of Nueva Vizcaya, Quirino, Kalinga, and Ifugao at the start of this 2023 dry season. The social mobilization activity was attended by municipal agriculturists and rice focals of the LGUs, provincial agriculturists and rice program staff, with RFO and APCO representatives.

“This activity is important to harmonize all our efforts so we can efficiently implement the National Rice Program and RCEF, as well as LGU initiatives,” Lim Dugyogen, Assistant City Agriculturist of Tabuk, expressed in the forum.

The activity resulted in the affirmed commitment of LGU partners to the RCEF, and compliance to the set guidelines of implementation. Tentative schedules of seed delivery to 40 LGUs in Region 2 and CAR were also set.
