A total of 61 farmers’ cooperatives and associations (FCAs) and local government units (LGUs) in Nueva Ecija received additional agricultural machines under the RCEF Mechanization Program worth Php 137.3 million during the ceremonial turnover on April 18 and 19, 2024.

Around 70 machines were distributed, including 59 units of four-wheel drive tractor, seven units of thresher, and four units of rice reaper.

PHilMech Director III Joel V. Dator, FMFOD Chief Engr. May Ville B. Castro, and FMFOD Assistant Chief Engr. Domingo Miranda led the distribution, along with District I Cong. Mikaela Angela Suansing; District II Representative Cong. Joseph Gilbert Violago, District III Representative Cong. Rosanna Vergara; District IV Representative Cong. Emerson Pascual; Executive Assistant to the Governor Atty. Ferdinand Abesamis; and Cabanatuan City Mayor Myca Elizabeth R. Vergara.

Representatives from DA-RFO III, Villar SIPAG, and the provincial and municipal local government units were also present to support the event.

Currently, a total of 1,059 units of agricultural machines worth Php1.6B have been distributed in the province already, benefiting 664 FCAs and LGUs. (FB, DA-PhilMech, April 19, 2024)
