A total of Php20.86M worth of agricultural machines were delivered under the Rice Competitiveness Enhancement Fund (RCEF) Mechanization Program of the Philippine Center for Postharvest Development and Mechanization (PHilMech) to Lumba-Bayabao, Lanao del Sur during the provincial machinery turnover held on April 30, 2024.

This distribution includes 59 units of rice thresher, 42 units of rice reaper, 24 units of hand tractor, and three units of PTO-driven disc plow that were distributed to 42 qualified Farmers Cooperative and Associations (FCAs) and Local Government Unit (LGU) from the province of Lanao del Sur.

Present during the event were Mayor Mahar P. Dagalangit and Vice Mayor Lalawein Bato-Macud of Lumba-Bayabao, Atty. Khalid D. Ansano, Provincial Director of MAFAR-LDS, Ammal D. Soilaman, Deputy Minister of MAFAR-BARMM, Edna Jangao, representative from the Office of Senator Cynthia A. Villar, and Engr. Domingo Miranda, Asst. Chief of FMFOD-PHilMech. Also present are the other officials from MAFAR-BARMM, MAFAR-Lanao del Sur, provincial, municipal and barangay LGUs. (DA-PHilMech)
