Bukidnon farmers to maximize farm operations with full-implement tractors…

A total of 14 units of four-wheel drive tractors with rotavators, PTO-driven disc plows, and front loaders amounting to Php 32.2 million were distributed to qualified farmers’ cooperatives and associations (FCAs) in the province of Bukidnon from the RCEF Mechanization Program during a machinery turnover held today, June 11, in Malaybalay City, Bukidnon.

These implements can help farmers make levees on farms, properly prepare the land, and load farm inputs and equipment to and from the field. This is an upgrade done by PHilMech to further the productivity of the FCA-beneficiaries.

“Ang mga machinery na natanggap natin ngayon ay ating alagaan at mahalin upang hindi magkalawang at hindi masira,” said Mr. Ariel Acosaba of Sinayawan Lateral G-7 Irrigators Association, Inc.

Among the FCA recipients are from the municipalities of San Fernando, Maramag, Quezon, Kalilanga, and Valencia City.

In total the province has already received 571 units of various rice machines and equipment from RCEF, amounting to Php413 million.

Present during the ceremony were FMFOD Assistant Division Chief Engr. Domingo Miranda, Mindanao A Cluster Head Engr. Edgar Testa, DA-RFO X Executive Director Jose Apollo Pacamalan, Acting Provincial Agriculturist Jacqueline Julia Lagamon, 4th District Representative Laarni Roque, Valencia City Mayor Azucena Huervas, Valencia City Agriculturist Connie Dalangan, Kalilangan OIC Municipal Agriculturist Edgar Cantones, San Fernando Municipal Agriculturist Coleen Alva Ambos and a representative from the office of Senator Cynthia Villar, Ms. Edna Jangao.
