Agriculture machinery distributed in Pampanga

PHilMech distributed more than Php 126 million worth of agricultural machinery to 54 Farmers’ Cooperatives and Associations (FCAs) and Local Government Units (LGUs) under the Rice Competitiveness Enhancement Fund (RCEF) – Mechanization Program during the agricultural machinery turnover in San Fernando, Pampanga on January 11, 2024.

The machines given during the turnover consist of 22 units of hand tractors, 20 units of four-wheel drive tractors, 15 units of rice combine harvesters, 13 units of riding-type transplanters, two units of walk-behind transplanters, four units of precision seeders, one unit of mobile rice mill, five units of 12-ton recirculating dryer, one unit of 6-ton recirculating dryer, and seven units of single pass rice mill.

The turnover was graced with the presence of PHilMech Director IV Dr. Dionisio G. Alvindia, DA-RFO III Regional Executive Director Crispulo G. Bautista, Pampanga Governor Hon. Dennis G. Pineda, Pampanga Vice Governor Hon. Lilia G. Pineda, and Senator Cynthia A. Villar’s representative, Ms. Mabel Esguerra, together with the representatives from provincial and municipal offices of the province.

As of writing, Pampanga has received a total of 448 agricultural machinery and postharvest facilities amounting to Php 544 million, benefitting 222 FCAs and LGUs.
