Participants actively engaged in data collection during a benchmarking activity conducted at the Davao Integrated Resource Cooperative (DIRCO), a certified learning site for agriculture under the Rice Competitiveness Enhancement Fund (RCEF) located in New Corella, Davao del Norte.
The benchmarking activity allowed participants to compare farm performance with the goal of identifying opportunities to enhance farming operations. This involved gathering information from farmers and comparing it with data from more successful farmers in the area.
Ms. Emie Casumlong, the manager of DIRCO, warmly welcomed the participants and trainers to the cooperative. She provided a brief overview of the cooperative’s services before introducing the group to various infrastructures, machinery, and facilities available at DIRCO.
The discussion covered several key aspects of the farm business, ranging from production processes to marketing strategies and management practices.
