The RCEF Training of Trainers program on Farm Business School participants had a benchmarking activity across Zamboanga Sibugay’s premier agricultural institutions.
The activity took the participants on an enlightening journey in Salam Natures Farm, Sibugay Technical Institute Inc., Enrico Farm and ZAMPEN Farmers Zone.
The benchmarking activity aims to harvest wisdom from seasoned LSA cooperators who have implemented exemplary practices.
By comparing performance metrics between farms, participants gained invaluable insights into maximizing their own agricultural resources.
The participants also ventured into market survey at the public market of Ipil, Zamboanga Sibugay. The participants were divided into four specialized groups, each focused on a specific commodity to ensure comprehensive data collection.
The immersion experience was designed to cultivate a deeper understanding of crucial agribusiness aspect such as analyzing market demand, developing effective pricing strategies, identifying and targeting ideal customers, evaluating competitive landscapes, recognizing emerging market trends, enhancing product quality, discovering untapped opportunities, and risk management techniques.
The RCEF Training of Trainers equipped the next generation of agricultural leaders with the tools and knowledge to transform farming from a traditional practice into a thriving, modern business.
