Culmination of the RCEF Basic Training Course on Inbred Rice Seed Production and Certification for Newly deputized and designated seed inspectors.
ATI Nueve in partnership with BPI-NSQCS IX with the special participation of DA RFO IX and PhilRice Midsayap Experiment Station, successfully conducted 5-day Basic Training Course on Inbred Rice Seed Production and Certification for Newly Deputized and Designated Seed Inspectors from August 19-23, 2024 in Ipil, Zamboanga Sibugay.
The training aims to identify and develop potential candidates for roles as deputized and designated seed inspectors in the region. It offers a comprehensive approach to empowering participants with advanced practices in rice production and fostering a new generation of qualified seed inspectors.
A total of 17 participants from the Provincial Agriculture Offices of Zamboanga del Sur and Zamboanga Sibugay, as well as representatives from the Municipality of Molave, Tampilisan, and from BPI-NSQCS IX, completed the training.
The highlights of the training were laboratory visit and hands-on experience which provided the participants with invaluable practical skills that are essential for their roles as seed inspectors.
