The provincial and local government units in Camiguin have expressed their support for the first implementation of the Rice Competitiveness Enhancement Fund (RCEF) Seed and Extension programs, which were launched in a social mobilization activity, April 18, 2023.

 

Cresencio Loquellano, OIC Provincial Agriculturist, expressed his gratitude to the agreements reached during the event and pledged to support the program to improve the lives of rice farmers in the province.

 

He also said that their team will closely monitor the municipalities of Mahinog, Mambajao, and Sagay and will help train the towns’ farmers on rice production.

 

The partnership was realized through the leadership of Dr. Gerardo F. Estoy Jr., the DA-Philippine Rice Research Institute (PhilRice) Agusan Branch Director. (FB, DA-PhilRice Agusan)
