MAFAR Lanao del Sur takes part in delivering Inbred Rice Seeds to selected recipients in Lanao del Sur. The delivery of the said seeds started last March 21, 2023 at Municipalities of Tamparan and Maguing.

 

This is under the program of Department of Agriculture Rice Competitiveness Enhancement Fund (RCEF) – Seed Component which is intended for the development, propagation, and promotion of inbred rice seeds.

 

According to Senior Agriculturist Naseem Mindalano, the program targets on improving and increasing the income of the local rice farmers through yield improvement, cost reduction, and lowering of postharvest losses.

 

There will be 19 more municipalities to receive the same assistance including Balindong, Bubong, Butig, Ramain, Lumbayanague, Madalum, Maguing, Marawi, Masiu, Mulondo, Piagapo, Poona Bayabao, Sultan Dumalundong, Tagoloan, Taraka, Tamparan, and Wao. (FB, MAFAR Lanao del Sur)
