
The MOA signing was led by PHilMech Director IV Dr. Dionisio G. Alvindia and Mayor Myca Elizabeth R. Vergara, with the Interim Director of PHilMech for Operations Mr. Joel V. Dator, and FMFOD Acting Chief Ms. Mayville B. Castro as witnesses.
The RCEF-RPS aims to reduce postharvest losses, improve the quality of milled rice, and make it available and accessible to farmers for rice processing services.
Facilities of the RPS III include three units of 12-ton capacity recirculating dryers and one unit of 4-5-ton/hr capacity multi-pass rice mill worth Php72 million.
As of today, PHilMech was able to facilitate and deliver 23 units of various agricultural machinery in the city under the 2019-2021 funds amounting to a total of Php33.7 million. (FB, DA-PHilMech)
