ATI Central Luzon in partnership with Villar SIPAG Foundation concluded the 11-day Training of Trainers on the Production of High-Quality Inbred Rice and Seeds and Farm Mechanization, today, at the City of San Fernando, Pampanga.
 
The training that ran from June 19-29, 2023 was participated by 30 farmer leaders from the different provinces around Central Luzon that now will be endorsed to the TESDA Regional Office 3 and will be included in their pool of RCEF-RESP Farmer’s Field School trainers.
 
“Maibabahagi ko ito sa aming lugar lalo na’t malayo ito sa urbanidad…nang mas mapahusay pa ang kanilang pamamaraan ng pagsasaka”, Ms. Nikki Jenofel Balbuena, participant from Casiguran, Aurora, said as she gives her impression to the recently conducted training.
 
On the other hand, Dr. Jayvee Bryan G. Carillo, Assistant Center Director of ATI RTC 3 served as the guest speaker of the program. “Umaasa kami na kayo ang aming magiging kasangga pagdating sa pagpapalaganap ng mga makabagong teknolohiyang makatutulong sa mga magsasaka ng palay sa rehiyon”, he said as his response to the impressions given by the participants.
 
The participants are expected to either implement Farmers’ Field School on the production of High-Quality Inbred Rice, Seed Certification, and Farm Mechanization in their municipalities or establish a farm school as it is the main objective of this training.
 
This training was led by the ATI RTC 3 Rice and RCEF team (Ms. Reinalyn Gulen, Mr. Jayson S. Baldoz, Mr. Jayson S. Gelacio, Mr. Jan Limuel Guevarra, and Ms. Mariel B. Baldoz) and made possible through the collaborative efforts of the implementing agencies of RCEF-RESP (ATI-RTC 3, DA-RFO 3, PhilRice, PHilMech, TESDA Pampanga, BPI-NSQCS Region 3, RCPC, LBP Pampanga Lending Center, Felisidro Farm, and E.D. Lacson Agricultural Learning Center Inc.) specially on the delivery of topics included in the module used. (FB, ATI Central Luzon)
