The province of Bohol received a new set of machinery grants worth Php62.25 million under the Rice Competitiveness Enhancement Fund (RCEF) Mechanization Program of the Philippine Center for Postharvest Development and Mechanization (PHilMech) during the provincial machinery turnover and distribution held on May 17 in Carmen, Bohol.

The recipients of the 36 various rice production machines are the 28 farmers’ cooperatives and associations (FCAs) and local government units (LGUs) from the province.

There were 21 units of four-wheel tractors, eight units of walk-behind transplanters, four units of turtle-type floating tillers, and three units of recirculating dryers delivered.
