Nueva Ecija receives RCEF Machines
True to its commitment to helping Filipino farmers, PHilMech continued with the distribution of agricultural machines to qualified farmers’ cooperatives and associations (FCAs) and local government units (LGUs) through the RCEF Mechanization Program.
On December 7, 2023, PHilMech awarded Php 398.5 million worth of rice production and postproduction technologies to the FY 2023 FCA and LGU beneficiaries in Nueva Ecija held during the Provincial Turnover of Agricultural Machinery and Equipment at the PHilMech Main Office.
Department of Agriculture Sec. Francisco P. Tiu Laurel Jr., PHilMech Dir. IV Dr. Dionisio G. Alvindia, and PHilMech Dir. III Joel V. Dator led the event and officially awarded certificates to 88 FCA and LGU beneficiaries.
Respectively, the beneficiaries received machines including 22 units of hand tractors; five units of four-wheel drive tractors; 9 units of walk-behind transplanters; 21 units of riding-type transplanters; four units of precision rice seeder; 22 units of combine harvesters; 9 units of single pass rice mill; 13 units 6T recirculating dryer; 13 units 12T recirculating dryer; four units 1.5 t/h multi-stage rice mill; two units 2-3 t/h multi-stage rice mill; and one unit 4-5 t/h multi-stage rice mill.

Villar represented by Atty. Francisco Gusi, Nueva Ecija Governor Aurelio M. Umali, Nueva Ecija 1st District Representative Cong. Mikaela Angela B. Suansing, Cabanatuan City Mayor Myca Elizabeth R. Vergara, San Jose City Mayor Kokoy Salvador, and Science City of Muñoz Mayor Baby Armi Alvarez were all present during the event.
Among the 57 rice-producing provinces nationwide, Nueva Ecija stands out as one the largest recipients, having received a total of Php 1.49 billion worth of machines since the program started in 2019.
