Davao del Sur secures RCEF Machines

Davao del Sur has received farm machines under the Rice Competitiveness Enhancement Fund (RCEF) – Mechanization program valued at almost Php37 million, distributed among 21 qualified farmers’ cooperatives and associations (FCAs) during a recent Provincial Turnover of Agricultural Machinery held on December 15, 2023.

A total of 52 units were distributed, comprising 19 floating tillers, 10 hand tractors, seven combine harvesters, six four-wheel-drive tractors, four mobile rice mills, and two units each of walk-behind and riding-type transplanters, and rice threshers.

The atmosphere was one of elation as the FCAs were called, marking them as new owners of agricultural machines, courtesy of the program. PHUSFIMCO Chair Noli S. Bingan, a beneficiary, expressed his gratitude, stating, “Malaki ang aking pasasalamat dahil sa programang ito. Itong mga makinarya ay malaki ang tulong sa aming mga farmers.”
