On-going distribution of the Rice Farmers Financial Assistance of Php 5,000 each to smallholder RSBSA-registered rice farmers in Kalinga tilling rice lands of two (2) hectares and below.

 

It was recalled that 13,643 rice farmers availed of the RFFA in December 2022 of 15,571 farmers with accounts.

 

650 farmers availed of Php 5,000 and a target of 1300 for today and tomorrow to complete the distribution to those who have verified and registered RSBSA accounts.

 

This provides temporary relief to eligible farmers or as compensation for the projected reduction or loss of farm income arising from the tariffication of the quantitative import restrictions on rice throughout the implementation of the Rice Tarrification Law or Republic Act No. 11203.
