Province of Ifugao – Three Thousand Nine Hundred and Three (3,903) rice farmers from the municipalities of Ifugao benefit from the 5-day payout caravan for the Rice Competitiveness Enhancement Fund- Rice Farmers Financial Assistance (RCEF-RFFA) in Lamut, Banaue, Mayoyao and Kiangan.

Provincial Governor Jerry U. Dalipog, in his message, thanked the program and vowed to support the restoration of the Rice terraces in relation to the RCEF-RFFA.

The rice farmers from Banaue and Mayoyao were thankful for the Five thousand pesos cash assistance as it will be used to purchase fertilizers for the cropping season.

Joan Boocan, a Mayoyao rice farmer, said “Dakkel nga pasalamat ko ta mausar daytoy (kwarta) iti sumaruno nga panagtalon ko ta isu nga maigatang iti abono ken nu agtultuloy daytoy nga programa, umad-ado ti maapit gapu ta ada ti mainayun iti mausar (nga kwarta) iti panagtalon.”

It can be recalled that fertilizer prices surged in 2021 until recently due to increase in raw materials cost in the universal markets and freight cost.

The RCEF-RFFA Caravan will continue to roll-out in the different provinces in the Cordillera. (FB, Da-Car)
