DA-PhilRice Isabela, under the RCEF Seed Program, is poised to expand its reach in its PalaySikatan technology demonstration project this 2023 wet season. Another 16 additional target sites in the provinces of Nueva Vizcaya, Kalinga, Quirino, and Ifugao will highlight mechanized rice farming using newly released and recommended varieties.

 

While the project team is still scouting and validating some new sites, some partner-farmer cooperators have signed letters of agreement and expressed their excitement with the collaboration.

 

Another exciting development in the PalaySikatan is the implementation of cluster-demo farms of at least 50ha, showcasing the potential of rice technologies on a larger scale. (FB, DA-PhilRice Isabela)
