At the moment, the Department of Agriculture – Regional Field Office 5 marked a significant milestone at the Ka-Fuerte Sports Center, Cadlan, Pili, Camarines Sur, through a remarkable turn-over of interventions under the Rice Competitiveness Enhancement Fund-Rice Farmer Financial Assistance (RCEF-RFFA) program.
The proactive RSBSA team has been diligently verifying eligibility for 2,000 registered rice farmers, ensuring that those with less than 2.0 hectares are accurately identified to receive ₱5,000 in financial assistance a substantial support in these challenging times. The commitment to data quality and the crafting of robust standard operating procedures exemplify our dedication to serving our community effectively.
Additionally, the RSBSA Info-Hub was a focal point at the event, providing vital registration information and answering FAQs for our farmers and fisherfolks, reinforcing the pivotal role of the RSBSA in bolstering agricultural productivity and sustainability.
The day will be further enriched by the presence of distinguished guests including Secretary of Agriculture Francisco Tiu Laurel Jr., with Dir. Rodel P. Tornilla – Regional Executive Director of DA-RFO5, Dr. Mary Grace DP. Rodriguez – RTD for Operations, Mr. Earl Vincent Vegas – OIC Chief FOD and other top-level officials, emphasizing the strong collaborative efforts across all levels of government and the community.
We also celebrated the distribution of various farm machineries and equipment, aimed at enhancing the productivity of Bicol farmers, underscoring our commitment to modernizing agriculture and improving livelihoods across the region.
