PHilMech conducts the fourth batch of a two-day feasibility study workshop for the beneficiaries of the RCEF Mechanization Program—Rice Processing System, held in Lucena City, Quezon, on May 10 to 11.
Fourteen farmers’ cooperatives and associations (FCAs) and local government units (LGUs) from Laguna, Quezon, Occidental Mindoro, Oriental Mindoro, Albay, and Camarines Sur participated in the activity.

These include the Municipal Local Government Unit of Santa Cruz; Municipal Local Government Unit of Mabitac; Municipal Local Government Unit of Siniloan; Municipal Local Government Unit of Lucban; Farmer Federation of San Antonio Quezon Inc.; Watchers Multi-purpose Cooperative; Samahang Gumagawa Tungong Tagumpay Multi-purpose Cooperative; Municipal Local Government Unit of Magsaysay; Kaagapay Kilusang Bayang Tagapagpaunlad Multi-purpose Cooperative; Bukluran Multi-purpose Cooperative; Albay Seeds Producers Multi-purpose Cooperative; City Local Government Unit of Naga; Camarines Sur Multi-purpose Cooperative; and Provincial Local Government Unit of Camarines Sur.
The establishment of RPS aims to make the processing of rice affordable and within the reach of small farmers so they can become more competitive. (FB, DA-PhilMech)
