DA- Agricultural Training Institute (ATI) RTC XI Center Director Alicia Rose D. Nebreja personally congratulated the graduates of this year’s 1st batch of Training for Trainers on Rice Competitiveness Enhancement Fund – Rice Extension Service Program (RCEF-RESP).
From scaling up their knowledge and skills on farm mechanization and seed production, to being effective training facilitators and speakers, the participants from the different municipalities of Davao de Oro underwent an intensive 12-day training to become equipped and qualified trainers in rice crop production.
Center Director Nebreja during their graduation day earlier today emphasized the invaluable contribution of the participants in the Rice Competitivenes Enhancement Program of the government, wherein 10% of the billion budget is given to extension services to enhance rice farmers’ skills and capacity to become globally competitive.
The Center Director also thanked the assistance and support of the Local Government Unit of Compostela as the host municipality of the training.
As response, Mayor Levi Ebdao who also graced the graduation day, expressed his gratitude to DA-ATI RTC XI for providing rice related trainings especially that part of his drive for the municipality is to strengthen the agriculture sector to increase economic growth.
He also encouraged the participants to become effective trainers once they return to their respective areas of responsibility.
