To provide better service to our Filipino farmers and refresh the staff and the seed growers of the program’s operations, processes, and goals, the Department of Agriculture – Philippine Rice Research Institute (DA-PhilRice) Los Baños held the RCEF Staff Retooling and Consultation Meeting with Seed Grower Cooperative and Associations from June 14-17, 2022.
Dr. Flordelize H. Bordey, RCEF-PMO Deputy Executive Director, opened the event, commending the hard work given by the RCEF staff, especially those belonging to the “younger age group” (ages 20-30). She urged the staff to continue providing quality service to farmers and improve processes along the way as RCEF reaches its third year of implementation.
The four-day event tackled the delivery, distribution, inspection, and encoding concerns; discussed the RCEF Operations Manual and the RCEF Seed Monitoring System; and included a staff capacity enrichment activity. (DA-PhilRice Los Baños, FB)
